Hello, I am Lo (she /they) I am in my second year of studies in primary education, as well as a foundation year, so I have been here 3 years. I have ADHD and dyslexia and struggle with chronic pain in my back and joints, with this I have a strong understanding of the struggles this uni may present to students with disabilities.  I am a hardworking and outgoing individual with a passion for wanting to make a change.

why vote for me?: Well, I have already started my journey to make a change in Newman by putting forward a motion for a quiet room which is somewhat done and continues to be improved upon. I have been part of the welcome week guides. I am the chair of MADSOC (music and drama society) where we put on a panto and helped with the grotto for the children.

What I plan to do: interduce Accessible routs for blind and visually impaired students e.g. brail signs, tactile flooring. Staff training in simple BSL for deaf or hearing-impaired students and Stronger communication between the student support/student success and lecturers for supporting students.

I promise to listen to all your needs and worries and do my absolute best to make your experience at Newman the best it could possibly be.
