Emma is a Lay Trustee at Newman Students' Union, and currently works as the Students' Union Manager at The University of Law Students' Union. Emmastarted her career in Students' Unions back in 2014, and her first staff role was right here at Newman SU in 2018-2019, as the Membership Services Coordinator. She fell in love with Newman and its small family-feel community and was delighted to be appointed as a Trustee in 2026 to continue to help the SU provide the best experience for students at Newman.
Alongside her full-time role at ULaw SU, Emma also works as a Quality Assurance Reviewer with the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), and has undertaken various pieces of governance and events consultancy work across the sector. Emma is also a qualified British Sign Language tutor and teaches beginners courses and a sign song choir in her spare time.
