Main Duties
The Trustee Board serves mainly as a scrutiny and planning group. In order for the Board to do this effectively, attendance and preparation for meetings is key. At the Board Meetings a series of papers, proposals and presentations are made, the main duties of the Student Trustee are detailed below:
- Attend all meetings of the Trustee Board (4 per year)
- Read all papers in advance of the meetings
- Attend training in the Summer of 2025
Additional Duties
The Trustee Board also has sub-committee which looks at Finance, Risk & HR. You may be asked or ask to be involved in this committee in some capacity. They meet a further 4 times per year.
As the Trsutee Board, draws experience from a wide field, the Union at times may form project groups involving Trustees, which you may want to be involved with and these would require commitment outside of the normal meetings.
