On behalf of your Students’ Union, I’m so excited to kick off one of our favourite times of the year a week packed with activities we’ve tried, tested and loved over the years designed to bring our whole student community together before the serious stuff begins.
We start on Sunday 14th September with a Moving-In Meal for those settling into campus followed by our legendary Moving-In Party open to everyone featuring the incredible Pink Limes, a high-energy band guaranteed to get you dancing.
Monday brings a chilled Movie Night with the Movie Society; the perfect way to relax and save energy for the week ahead.
On Tuesday, your VP Cloudy and I host Blue Bingo; expect laughs and fun prizes.
Wednesday is the Newman Night Out, your chance to explore some highlights from Birmingham’s nightlife.
Thursday starts with a creative Sip & Paint in the new Ryland Quad then Wear Your Flag in allyship with Birmingham Newman’s LGBTQ+ community.
We finish in style on Friday with The Block Party, a DJ, late-night vibes, and big games in the Quad.
Most events are free (or very student-budget-friendly).
