Monday 19th January
BIG SU Welcome (Free) - 10-3 Union Offices
The opportunity to come along to your Union space, grab a free hot drink and a snack. Chat with myself, Cloudy the Vice President, Zoe the Advice Co-Ordinator and SU Team about all things Union/Student Voice/Society/Fundraising matters.
Money Advice with Penny (Free) - Union Offices - 11.30-1.30pm
Do you want to check you are receiving the right amount of student finance? Do you need some support with managing your money? Pop along and chat with the lovely Penny from Student Success.
Movie Night - Room TBC- 5.30-7.30pm (Free)
Newman's Movie Society host a Movie Night to welcome you to their society.

Tuesday 20th January
Re-Welcome Fair - Atrium 10:00am – 2:00pm (Free)
Come along to the Re-welcome Fair and meet Societies, Sports and the Chaplaincy Team.

Blue Bingo - Senses – 6-9pm (Free to attend, £5 for Bingo)

Make Space - Union Offices– 10:00-2pm (Free)
This Make Space, we’re teaming up with Study Group to gently explore making space for studying through creative, low-pressure planning and organising techniques, with supportive guides and materials available.

Newman Night Out - (Senses Lounge and Birmingham).6:00pm – late (£7.00)
This event has now become an annual right of passage for new and returning students. Join us for a tour of the best nightspots on Broad Street in Birmingham City Centre. Click here to buy your wristband.
Thursday 22nd January
Digital Drop in Sessions - Union Offices - 11.30-1.30pm (Free)
Come along to our free IT Drop In Sessions to get support with; learning the basics of IT, boosting your digital skills, building confidence, explore training and learning to use tools like the NHS App and Moodle! Led by Hannah the SU’s Mature Students Officer and final year computer science student, supported by Nasser a Black Country Housing Group, Community Digital Training Officer as well as support from the E-Learning Team.
Hannah says ‘This session is important to me because I want to ensure everyone feels supported and confident using software in their day to day live and the support I will be offering is any software help that is needed, from installing packages to using the software. I can also help with one drive issues and file explorer issues. No question is too small or big’.

Sip and Paint - Union Offices – 5-7pm (£7.00)
Wind down with a relaxed evening of art, drinks, and good company. You’ll get all the supplies you need, plus two glasses of Prosecco or No-Secco. No painting skills required, just come ready to unwind, get a little creative, and meet some new faces. Whether you're solo or with friends, it's the perfect midweek reset.
