About Us

Welcome! The Gaming Society is here for three reasons - to relax, make friends, and do gaming stuff.

We feel we’ve been pretty successful at this, winning Society of the Year award two years in a row!

We meet in-person once a week to play various board games (Monopoly, Risk, etc) and card games (Cards Against Humanity, Muffin Time and Selfish among others), as well allowing our members to bring along their personal games and consoles if they wish to find others to play. We also have a Discord server, where we keep in touch with our members and play online games like Gartic Phone and Jackbox.

On occasion we host Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and one-shots when enough interest is gathered, and this is often decided via our discord.

Everybody is entitiled to a free taster session, where you can come along to our regular in-person sessions, play and hang out with our members and decide if this is the society for you. Afterwards, if you wish to become a member, all we ask for is a £5 joining fee which gives you membership for the academic year. This money will go towards the resources we need for the society such as new games and funding for the events we host throughout the year!

If you do decide to join us, we hope to see you soon,
