Your Guide to: Launching Your Society | Event | Initiative 01, Your Ideas Is there something you would really like to do at university? Start your own society? Launch an initiative or resource? Host, or collaborate on an event? 02, Your Plan Get in touch with Newman Students’ Union’s Vice-President and we will arrange a meeting where we can look at developing your ideas into a plan collaboratively, or connecting you with more people across campus to bring your ideas to life. 03, Your Committee The Community and Wellbeing Committee will consider your project or society, you may be invited to present. The committee will ensure your plan reflects our values and benefits the Newman community 04, Your Development Newman Students’ Union enable you to develop your project or society at a pace and intensity which suits you. We can help you make the most of of your project, such as supporting your skills development through training. 05, Your Success There are many ways to measure success. At Newman Students’ Union, we celebrate contributions to the community at our annual awards. Also, we can help you showcase your skills and efforts in other ways. For example, in your higher education achievement report (HEAR).
