Got an idea that could make a real difference at Newman?
Applications are now open for Student–Staff Partnership Projects (SSPPs), a collaborative initiative between Newman Students’ Union and the Student Success team.
SSPPs bring together students, academic staff, and professional services to co-create impactful projects that enhance the student experience, support our Access and Participation Plan, and drive progress on our equality, diversity and inclusion goals. Whether you're passionate about inclusive teaching, digital innovation, student support, or want to develop something totally new, this is your chance to turn great ideas into real change.
Why get involved?
- Make a lasting impact on student life and university culture
- Gain valuable experience - projects are paid for student participants
- Collaborate across the community - build relationships with staff and students across departments
- Access support and flexible funding to bring your vision to life
- Shape policy, practice, and events that benefit current and future students
Projects could focus on:
- Inclusive curriculum or assessment design
- Community-building through digital tools
- Tailored student support
- Retention, attainment and continuation strategies
- Anything else that makes a positive change
