Dear {firstname},

Hi there, I’m Josh Rigsby and on behalf of Newman Students Union congratulations on your results and welcome to Birmingham Newman University! We hope your proud of the journey you’ve taken to get here. Every student at Birmingham Newman is automatically enrolled as a member of the Student Union here. However, you may be asking who are you and what do you mean I’m a member?

The Students' Union is a place separate to the university but still located next to the Starbucks here that advocates for students at the university to make sure your voice is heard and you feel supported. We run many events throughout the year like our welcome weeks in September and all the societies so if you have any interests and want to create a place you feel like you can belong here at Newman then we’re here to support you. In essence we exist for you and to give you the opportunities you want to take at university.

If you ever have anything you want to talk about or vent at university then as President, then I’m here to hear about it all in the Student Union office. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon.

If you are returning this year, welcome back, don't forget you are welcome at all of the events happening over the next few weeks.

For both new and returning students, we have a whole range of new merchandise available this year, get in now to get amazing welcome discounts. Check out the merchandise links and the What's On below for more details.

Best wishes

Josh
