Hopefully you are enjoying a well deserved break after another busy semester. Here at the Union we have a few things we would like to tell you about ready for after the break. 

Union Awards

Our annual Awards Ceremony is taking place Thursday 15th May 2025 with Refreshments starting at 5:00pm in the Main Atrium. The Awards Ceremony will commence in the Chapel from 6:00pm.

This event is extremely important to us as a Union because it provides an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the hard work that our staff and students have done throughout the year.

Our nominations are open from Wednesday 16th April 2025 until Monday 5th May 2025. You can nominate your friends, students and colleagues by clicking here.

Annual General Meeting 

The Annual General Meeting of the Students' Union is a chance for all students to attend an extended meeting of the Students' Union Council. The Annual General Meeting will receive reports on the following areas:

• a report from the Officer Trustees on the Union’s activities since the last meeting;
• the accounts of the Union from the previous financial year; 
• approving the list of affiliations of the Union

Alongside this all students will have the opportunity to ask the Officer Trustees questions about their activities over the past year. 

This meeting is open to all students, however, only Student Council members are eligible to vote on any decisions made. 

The Annual General Meeting will be held in Room CH116 from 1pm on Thursday 1st May 2025.

Don't Panic - Union Advice Service

f you are currently feeling the struggle of your academic work as we reach the end of the year, don't panic, the Union runs an Advice Service to provide support and guidance.
