Welcome! The Gaming Society is here for three reasons - to relax, make friends, and well, do gaming stuff.
We meet in-person once a week to play various board games (Monopoly, Risk and others), card games (Cards Against Humanity, Uno and others) and offline console games (the society owns a Wii and an Xbox), as well as bring along personal games and consoles if able to. We also have a Discord server, where we meet once a week as well. On occasion we host Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and one-shots when people are interested, and this is often done via our server. An activity that we do through both meetings are host-owned online group games, where all you need is your phone (society favorites include the Jackbox Party Packs and King of The Castle).
If you want to become a member, all we ask for is a £5 annual joining fee. This money will go towards the resouces we need for the society (new games we can use, extra equipment for any consoles we need, what have you) as well as all the events we host throughout the year!
(Fun fact: we won Society of The Year last year!)
