Your Academic Officer for 2020/21, Chantel Melia pledged in her Manifesto (priorities) to amend timetabling for those who have responsibilities outside of university. After consideration and research, she realised that this was not feasible and instead decided to take a different approach and create a document that enables you, the student, to understand how your timetables are created from a completely transparent perspective.
The aim of this document is not to cause arguments, but to hold the University to account in the correct way. This document has been created in partnership with key University staff members, and should be a helpful document for you when you are having issue with your timetable. This is YOUR chance to communicate with the right staff and have your voices heard.
This process is to show the transparency of the SU and University, and to inform you as fully as possible on the processes that form your education.
