RAG & COMMUNITY OFFICER CANDIDATES
DWAIN SPENCER
Dwain's Manifesto:
My name is Dwain Spencer and I am passionate about helping those that need it. For me personally this has led me to shave my hair, build and auction off a mud kitchen, climb the three peaks, half marathons and soon I will be participating in a 24 hour endurance race up Mount Snowdon...all in the name of raising money and awareness for causes that mean something to me.
What I hope to do as RAG and community officer is to be able to share this passion with you all and get as many people involved in participating, organising and promoting fundraising events. My philosophy is that if you can help or do something to help, then you have a duty to do so.
As RAG and community officer I would like to do the following:
1. To organise a minimum 2 events a year for ALL student and staff to participate in to raise money and awareness for those in need. While also supporting and promoting individual fundraising.
2. Bring in guest speakers to talk about issues impacting the wider society. In the hopes that we can all learn about causes globally that need our support and understanding.
3. Work with the local council to look at how we as students in the area can help support in local initiatives.
