Newman Students' Union is run by students for students. We have an Executive Committee who are a group of two full-time Officers and six part-time Officers elected by you to represent them. They are either current students or ones who have just graduated, and are the decision makers within the SU.
While we have student representation within the SU, the organisation is also governed by a Board of Trustees as a registered Charity. This includes three of the Executive Committee, two students and five externals who oversee the financial, legal and charity obligations.
We then finally have permanent career staff who work to ensure the day-to-day running of the Students' Union. They must work with the Executive Committee to make the things that you see happen.
