Yep, that's right. No Student Welcome Week would be complete with our a Karaoke night. This one is hosted by the Friends After Five Society. Come down to Senses Lounge and belt out your favourite tunes. Free Entry.

As as relaxing start to Welcome Week proper, wind down with a relaxed evening of art, drinks, and good company. You’ll get all the supplies you need, plus two glasses of Prosecco or No-Secco. No painting skills required, just come ready to unwind, get a little creative, and meet some new faces. Whether you're solo or with friends, it's the perfect midweek reset. Let the colours (and convos) flow before term begins!

Join us this Tuesday of Welcome Week for a night of laughs, good vibes, and gloriously silly prizes at Senses Bar! Your fabulous bingo callers for the evening? None other than your Students' Union Officers.

🎟️ £5 gets you into five fast-paced rounds of bingo, packed with surprises and ridiculous rewards.

It’s the perfect chance to meet new people, win silly stuff, and ride the Welcome Week wave in style.

Bar opens at 6pm. Free Entry.

£5 for 5 Games. Bingo Strips can be purchased online in advance or in person at the event.

The Newman Students' Union Welcome Fair is your opportunity to find out about the range of activities and services your Students' Union has to offer. Alongside our Societies, Academic Reps, Leadership Positions and Welfare & Support functions, you will have an opportunity to meet other University departments and external companies who all have something to offer you as a student. Come along and grab some freebies, sign up to a Society and meet your Students' Union Team. The event is open to all from 10am-3pm in the Atrium, feel free to pop along at any point. Free Entry.

This event has now become an annual right of passage for new and returning students. Join us for a tour of the best nightspots on Broad Street in Birmingahm City Centre.

Meet new friends studying at Newman or once out in town, party with students from other Birmimgham Universities. Your wristband gives you guaranteed access to the best bars and clubs.

The Night out starts in Senses Bar on campus, transport to Birmingham is not included, but after a short bus or taxi ride into town, where we will carry on the night!

Wristbands £7. Your wristband can be purhcased online and collected from the Union Office from Monday 7th September 10am-4pm.

Meet in Senses lounge from 6pm.

The opening night of Welcome Week is not to be missed. Meet your new best friends. This was the event of Welcome Week last year. If you are moving into halls this event will run straight after your welcome meal.
