Your Support
At Newman Students' Union, we can provide you with a variety of support! One of the main ways in which we do this, is through our Student Advice Clinic.
Student Advice Clinic
The Student Advice Clinic can offer you advice on three main areas, regarding your academic experience:
- Academic Appeals
- Complaints
- Academic Misconduct
The Clinic can also provide you with general advice, about things such as where a classroom might be or how to access a certain service online or on campus.
The Student Advice Clinic can NOT provide advice on topics such as finance or housing. If you have a query regarding something such as this, we will signpost you to individuals who may be able to help you. We willl usually always direct you to Student Services, who have a great team, with a wider base of knowledge and expertise.
The Clinic is managed by the Employability and Voice Co-ordinator, and is usually ran by specially-trained student volunteers. However this year, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Clinic will be managed by SU Staff until at least January 2021.
