As part of the Leadership and Development offer, there are 5 pathway options available to students. These pathways have been created so that students can tailor their learning to their personal interests. Below are details of the available pathways:
This pathway aims to give students access to all of the important aspects of setting-up a business. The pathway will cover elements such as: Learning Styles, How to be a Good Leader, Marketing and Finance.
- Personal Development
Personal development is really important. This pathway will provide students with access to sessions that improve their confidence, help them to recognise their achievements and modules that help them begin to map out their journey, both professionally and personally.
Have you ever considered becoming a teacher? This pathway will allow you to explore this as a career option, and you will learn about aspects such as leading presentations, creating content and safeguarding (achieving a level 3 qualification along the way!)
- The Third Sector and Higher Education
As a Students' Union, we know all about the third sector (charities) and higher education! A variety of sessions exploring what an SU is and does, and how it fits into the Higher Education sector will be explored, including- how to build a strategy, what it's like working within a diverse team and what rules you may need to know if you'd like to set up your own charity!
- Finding a Job
As students, it can sometimes be really hard to know what your next step is going to be. This pathway will give you a variety of tools that will help you to gain a placement/job. You will openly explore your interests, and potential careers you would like to pursue. We will also help prepare you for interviews, and give you some top tips for applying for roles!
Each of these pathways has direct links to local, graduate employers.
