What are we?
NSU is here for YOU - the students.
When most people think of Students unions, they think about Sports teams, Societies and of course the Nights out and down the bar. Well Newman Students Union does all that and a lot more. As a Students’ Union what we are actually here for is to represent YOU. We are your voice within Newman on all sorts of bodies from the Governors down to organising the Student Representation system for your courses. We make sure your opinions matter and are heard.
As well as this we are somewhere any student can come for help and advice with any problem, no matter how big or small. Whether it is the need of someone to talk to about the struggles of University life or help with a disciplinary hearing, NSU is hear for YOU.
We can help or if we cannot then we shall tell you who can!
Who are we?
Newman Students’ Union (NSU) is made up of elected Student Officers. Students volunteer their time to help NSU, except for the President and Vice President who are reimbursed for their time. The Students’ Union Executive Committee for 2009/10 is:

Why get involved?
You get to meet loads of people from all walks of life. Getting involved with the Students Union and its activities means you have a say in what happens here at Newman. Also it helps YOU by adding things to your CV. You gain experience and knowledge that looks quite impressive and it may be the little extra that helps you stand out when applying for that dream job.
