Axcis Education |
Axcis are the leading supplier of special needs staff to mainstream schools and specialist provisions in the UK. We have offices nationwide and work with a range of candidates including support staff, teachers and school leaders.
We can help students who wish to work alongside their studies by offering part-time positions and flexible supply work at the schools and alternative provisions we work with. We also offer longer-term and permanent roles for those seeking more commitment. In addition to this, we offer an enviable training and development package which will enhance your CV and skill-set, making you more employable in the long-term. We also offer competitive rates of pay and access to an experienced consultant who will be your personal point of contact and who will support you every step of the way.
Fresher’s, trainee students and graduate teachers can benefit from doing supply work with Axcis in a number of ways. By working in a range of different schools, you can broaden your skills and experience. It will also help you to identify the area of the sector which you feel will suit you in the longer term. Many of our schools take graduates on for short-term roles which become permanent NQT positions after a term or two. In many cases, your induction year will be supported and you’ll be offered lots of further training and support directly by the provision in which we place you.
It has never been more important for teachers and support staff to have a good understanding of special educational needs. Even if you are looking to pursue a career in a mainstream setting, gaining SEND experience can put you in a great position to demonstrate that you are a rounded professional when you take on a permanent post.
All graduates and Freshers are welcome to apply to Axcis. We can offer a range of different positions in schools, including; teaching assistant, care support, mentor, cover supervisor, subject-specific support and therapy roles.
If you are a student or graduate interested in working with Axcis, you can either call your local branch for a chat, or you can register online – it takes just 5 minutes and one of our consultants will be in touch. You’ll have a no-pressure chat about what you are looking for and what skills you can offer, and if we feel we can help you, and you feel that we are the right company for you, we will ask you to come in and have a registration interview. From there you could be out working as quickly as the next day!
